PM: National Independence Day Reminds the Sacrifices of King Sihanouk

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen says that the national Independence Day reminds all the sacrifices by the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk. He has posted a message on his social media page on Tuesday as Cambodia celebrates the 68th Independence Day anniversary. Cambodia was freed from the French protectorate on 9 November, 1953z

The Prime Minister says, "National Independence Day, November 9, commemorates the Royal Mission for the Motherland and the people of Cambodia of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, the father of national independence, His Majesty the King. He sacrificed his strength and intelligence with the utmost zeal to fight within the framework of the royal monarchy to demand true independence in Cambodia.”

 At the same time, Cambodia also celebrates the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
